Tliltocatl vagans (Mexican Red Rump) Tarantula 1"-1.5" Unsexed Juvenile

New World

Terrestrial

The Mexican Red Rump (Tliltocatl vagans) is a classic beginner tarantula: hardy, forgiving and easy to care for. It has a jet-black body with long, bright red hairs on the abdomen. Native to Mexico and Central America, adults reach about 5–6" in leg span, and females can live 15 years or more.

Temperament: Generally calm, though it may flick urticating hairs when disturbed. An excellent first tarantula.

Care: Mostly dry substrate deep enough to burrow, a hide, and a shallow water dish. Normal room temperatures (70–80°F) are fine.

Growth rate: Moderate.

This listing is an unsexed juvenile.
